baking soda

where do I get baking soda ,I am not quite sure what I am looking for ,there is plenty of bicarbonates out there but they are mostly powders I've tried Tesco, Sainsbury's , co-op , the green shop ?

Hi Rodney,

Sodium Bicarbonate or Bicarbonate of Soda. It should be with the cake making ingredients in most Supermarkets.

I was looking for big chunks of soda ,my wife has got bicarbonate of soda its very fine not quite what I was expecting but I will use that Rodney

Just make sure you do not use "Baking powder" which is a mixture of Sodium bicarbonate and Potassium bitartrate (tartaric acid)
60 percent of the time it works every time.
