Towles
Re: Towles
They had a beer on at the Bristol Beer festival recently
- Old Smilier 4.1%
with a pronounced toffee flavour... I really enjoyed it.
Apparently they are almost next door to the relocated Arbor Ales brewery in Lawrence Hill.
Also I think the brewer is from the now defunct Berrow brewery at Burnham-on-sea.

The craft beer revolution will not be sanitised!

Re: Towles
Reading between the lines. Old Smiler is a clone of Smiles Best, Mr Towles worked there for 8 years. I thought his face was familiar as my office used to overlook the brewery.

...and when I met him and his wife in person I'm not so sure it's the person I recall!
Lovely couple, must seek out their beer soon.
