What type of water softener? I think I would prefer to treat 'natural' water. It uses standard water softener salt pellets, which I assume is sodium chloride. Hugh I just would not use that water for drinking or brewing. You must have a tap that you can water from before the softener - for drinking...

The beer engines we discussed are 2 x England Worthside, 1 x hi-gene and 1 x Gaskell and Chambers Anyone interested at £10 each for the first three and £15 for the G&C one as it has a very pretty handle. I also have two spare plain black handles that I am happy to include if anyone wants a spare...
